The Qabalah’s Tree of Life is a glyph that represents, simultaneously, two directions: the flow of the Divine from Above to Below, and the Path of Return to Source, from Below to Above, for those on spiritual journeys of enlightenment. It is a glyph that represents all of creation and all the energies of creation.
The Tree of Life is comprised of ten circles called Sephiroth and the 22 paths that connect them. The Paths are subjective, and allocated to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet as well as the 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot. The 10 Spheres are objective and are considered emmanations of the Divine. They are allocated to the First Swirlings, the Zodiac, the six visible planets, the Moon and the Earth.
Scorpio is represented on the Tree of Life through its associated Tarot Card, which is Key 13, The Death card. The Hebrew letter for this path is Nun, which means Fish. Its numerical value is 50, it is a simple letter - its “gift” – is motion, or movement, related in part to the fact that fish are constantly in motion.
The 24th Path of Key 13 connects Tiphareth to Netzach on the Tree of Life. It is one of the three paths that connects the Personality with the Higher Self, as is situated in the Astral Triad, the Triad of the Personality. Key 13 can be seen as the path that requires the relinquishing of the “desire nature” of Netzach in order to experience the Beauty (Tiphareth) of the Higher Self. The attachments of bodily desires and wishes must be seen for what they are and in essence must die, or be transformed, to a higher frequency, if connection with the Higher Self is desired. Emotions (the realm of Netzach) are what make us human, but there are more refined and less refined functionalities of emotion. Transforming fear-based emotion (pride, greed, wrath, envy, gluttony, lust, sloth, etc) into heart-based emotion (kindness, self-restraint, gratitude, humility, patience, forgiveness, etc) is key.
The Death card is in fact more about transformation and the Cycle of Life than physical death; “Nun” is not death, it is actually the “Keeper of the Gates,” and is as much about rebirth as it is about death. The concept of transformation aligned with the Death card is one that requires some part of us to die or be cast away forever for another part to be born and grow. Seen another way, as the “frequency” of a person increases, it is impossible for those aspects that have been raised to maintain their lower frequency, and in that transformation, there is a forever loss, or death, of the lower frequency. Raising one’s frequency successfully involves the mind, the heart, and the body, or the Alchemical trinity of the Mercury, Sulfur and Salt of your being.
Tips on How to Raise your Frequency
To raise your frequency, focus on cultivating heart-based emotions through practices like gratitude, mindfulness, and acts of kindness. Complement these with a healthy lifestyle, including nutritious food and regular exercise, and minimize negative influences by avoiding toxic people and limiting exposure to negativity in media or gossip in social circles.
• Practice gratitude: Start each day by appreciating the small joys and blessings in your life.
• Be mindful: Stay present and become aware of your thoughts and emotions. Gently redirect negative thoughts toward positive ones.
• Spread kindness: Engage in random acts of kindness and compliment others to cultivate high-vibrational emotions.
• Focus on positive memories: Think of loved ones and moments of pure joy to promote positivity. Recall things that made you laugh, and let yourself laugh again at the recall.
• Use positive affirmations: Reinforce positivity by repeating uplifting statements about yourself.
• Eat clean: Nourish your body with vibrant, colorful foods and stay hydrated. Limit processed foods, which can lower your vibration.
• Exercise regularly: Incorporate movement into your day, such as walking, dancing, or light weights.
• Connect with nature: Spend time outdoors, walk barefoot in nature, and breathe fresh air to ground yourself.
• Create a relaxing environment: Increase the number of houseplants in your home, change the lighting, play music that sooths you and lets you relax. Take a salt bath to reduce stress and clear your energy.
• Spend time with uplifting people and/or engage with inspiring content, like books, podcasts, or music.
• Limit negative influences: Avoid toxic people and reduce your consumption of gossip, news and media that induces drama, fear or negativity.
• Meditate: Practice meditation to become more aware of your thoughts and to manage them more easily.
• Create: Engage in creative outlets like art, music, or writing to express yourself.
OTHER SUGGESTIONS:
1. Qabalistic Exercise for Raising one’s frequency:
Israel Regardie’s Middle Pillar Exercise
Note: Regardie emphasizes that this work is not to be undertaken lightly: It assumes prior cleansing, banishing, mental integration, and some experience with basic ritual work. The descent from crown to earth symbolises the Western path of bringing the divine into matter, rather than the Eastern rising of energy from earth to crown. Because of the energetic intensity (light, vibration, subtle body work) it can produce significant shifts. Approach with respect.
2. 1. To decrease fear of death, research NDE’s (Near Death Experiences) and read or watch testimonials.
