The Major Arcana Tarot Card allocated to the sign of Taurus is The Hierophant card. The general meaning of this card is divine instruction, initiation, teaching, speaking and listening, holding the keys, and institutional structures like church or school.
The Minor Arcana Cards of the five, six and seven of Disks have less obvious connections to the sign of Taurus. However Taurus is an Earth sign, which aligns it with the Suit of Disks, the Earth suit. When a Decan Wheel is consulted (see image below), the first Decan of Taurus (April 21 to 30) is found to correspond to the Five of Disks, (Worry, or Lord of Material Trouble) The second Decan (May 1 to 10) corresponds to the Six of Disks (Success/Charity, or Lord of Material Success), and the third Decan (May 11 to 20) to the Seven (Failure, or Lord of Success Unfulfilled). If your Sun sign is Taurus, you can determine which minor card is “your” card, and it can be used as an alternate Identifier, or you may contemplate how the card is thematic in your life. Additionally, using the Decan Wheel allows for time to be introduced into readings.
